Cramps..quick fix

Cramps

We all get cramps from time to time. Some people get cramps as a chronic condition and if this is you, then you really need to look at your lifestyle in more detail.

Quick cramp treatment

If you find that from time to time you are susceptible to cramps, then try increasing the sodium (salt ) in your diet. You will find that this can help greatly.

If you have just suffered from a cramp, then pinch the middle of your upper lip with your fingers - do this as hard as you can and keep it pinched until the cramp disappears.

Long term cramp problems

There could be a variety of reasons for this. It can be something as simple as not taking in enough salt.

More complex cramp issues are usually related to diet. A toxic diet can knock the body's fluid balancing system out of sync and cause cramps.

You need to go on a detox diet, avoiding un-natural foods and eating natural, wholesome foods.

You also need to start an exercise regime. You can start by walking, moving on to jogging or even using the trampoline. Swimming, dancing, martial arts, weight training can all be good.

Sauna is also good as well as anything which induces sweat. Remember to replace any lost fluids and salt. Some people swear by Cayenne pepper. Pay attention to your calcium, magnesium and potassium levels too (as well as sodium above).

You may want to take a supplement containing the above just to see if it helps you.

Excessive exercising or overdoing it can also cause a cramp, so make sure you rest your muscles. You may want to take in more protein and water to repair muscle tissues faster.

Some recent studies have shown promising benefits from supplementing with Quinine.

Physiotherapy

Massaging, stretching and applying cold packs to the cramped area can all be helpful. Regular stretching is a very effective way of dealing with more long terms cramping problems.

Start off slowly and a little bit at a time and work your way up to longer and more advanced stretching.
