Nutrition has a direct effect on your brain power, motivation, energy and ultimately your success. Here are 10 nutrition tips that can make you more successful:

1. Do not skip breakfast. If you skip breakfast, you will be tired sometime between early and late afternoon. 2. Do not have heavy sweets such as sugary cakes & pastry. They will make you lethargic and ineffective. Have a date/banana instead! 3. Make sure you are not skipping B Vitamins (Brain Vitamins!) found in rice, fish/meat, dairy, legumes, bananas, avocados, broccoli. 4. Caffeine is a great aid for focus, concentration and energy. Use it if you’re tired. 5. Too much caffeine, especially after lunch can interfere with your sleep. Bad sleep means you are not as effective the next day! 6. Fatty fish such as salmon and trout contain Omega-3s which are great for your brain. 7. Specifically, the following help brain power & memory: Blueberries, tomatoes, eggs, broccoli, pumpkin seeds & blackcurrants. 8. Choline is a very important brain vitamin. Found in eggs, shiitake mushrooms, quinoa, peanuts and almonds. 9. Avoid too much stressed meats as you end up eating the stress of the animal (I know, sounds crazy!). 10. Magnesium found in spinach, almonds, avocados, maintains your brain’s nerve elasticity, important for brain power.
