Why entrepreneurship is like the lottery!

One of my good friends just lost his business. At 49 years of age, I really feel for him and am sad for him.

It’s not good to think you’ve worked so hard and then due to circumstances, you have to start all over again.

One of the things people need to feel balanced, is hope. When you have hope, life can turn good with a single thought. When you don’t have hope, a different door opens, leading you to dangerous territory.

Entrepreneurship is amazing because it opens up so many possibilities for things that you can otherwise never experience. For example if you are in a regular job, you will probably never be able to make £1m in a year, or pay your parents’ mortgage or get private health for your whole family etc .

If you are an entrepreneur and you follow certain principles, then you have “hope” for so many things. This is why I encourage people to venture into entrepreneurship because it can give you so many things that you will otherwise never be able to have. It’s a bit like winning the lottery but with such better odds!

As for my friend, I know he will get back up there again because where there is life, there is hope and where there is hope, there is the possibility of a new life.
