Why weak people are not role models!

Today I was reading that Chris Hemsworth has “strong indication” he will have Alzheimers! I also read, the UK will have 2 tough years. Talk about self fulfilling prophecy and doom and gloom! I am sure many of you will be reading the Hemsworth story and thinking, good thing he had it “checked out”. And many of you will now believe that the next 2 years will be tough.

Personally, I have never been one for listening to other people’s predictions. YOU control your own destiny and it starts in the mind. Take one of my relatives for example. She is 82 going on 40! Sometimes I call her to see how she is and what she has been up to and I hear things like: “We went to the Iran protest in Trafalgar Square, then walked to Maida Vale and went to a restaurant and I got home at 2 a.m.”!

I can’t remember the last time I got home at 2 a.m.!!! The thing with my relative is, she thinks she is 40 and her mind believes it and she basically ends up being a very young 82 year old! The word “old” does not exist in her vocabulary.

Another friend of mine has very bad Thalassemia and was told early on in life that she will have a horrible life and won’t be able to do much etc. I tell you what, I have not seen many people as active as her!! She is always doing something or travelling.

Let’s be honest, it takes a strong mind to choose it’s own destiny. Many people have weak minds and are easily swayed by doctors, economists, relatives, friends etc

Personally I choose to look at those who do their own thing and overcome odds. Weak people are not role models! For every naysayer there is a determined person out there. For every pessimist doctor, there is an optimist one. The economy may be going down the toilet but that doesn’t mean there aren’t thousands of business ideas you can develop right now.
